A dedicated martial artist, Dan has trained in Shotokan Karate, sharing his expertise with students and professionals around the world. His unique blend of military precision and martial arts mastery has made him a respected figure in both fields.

Travis holds the rank of purple belt under Professor Robin Gieseler (Relson Gracie lineage). Travis’ approach to BJJ is rooted in the principles of effective, real-world self-defense and practical application. Travis brings a wealth of tactical and instructional experience to the mat. Travis is a certified Gracie Survival Tactics Instructor and possess specialized knowledge in techniques designed for law enforcement and military professionals. This expertise was enhanced during a career as a Correction Officer, which included serving as a member of Special Operations on the Special Response Team (SRT). Travis’ background also includes experience as an instructor in Use of Force and Defensive Tactics/Subject Control. This unique blend of pressure-tested real-world experience, tactical training, and traditional Gracie Jiu-Jitsu means every student receives instruction that is not only technical, but profoundly practical.
